Cailee is a rising screen star with a quiet presence and a talent that makes her impossible to ignore. Thoughtful, kind-hearted and a little shy, she’s far more comfortable disappearing into a role than standing in the spotlight.
To millions of fans she’s a movie star. To one particular movie-store clerk, she might just be the most important person in the universe.

Mason Lane

Mason lives and breathes movies. He works at Reel Deals Vintage Films, knows every shelf by heart and can usually recommend the perfect film before you’ve even finished asking.
Quiet, observant and permanently lost in a daydream or two, Mason is more comfortable behind the counter than in the spotlight. But when something unexpected lands in his hands, even the biggest movie nerd in town may have to step into the story himself.

LØLØ
Character File BU-007
LØLØ writes like she talks — fast, honest and usually with more feelings than she meant to reveal. Armed with a guitar, a notebook and a tendency to overthink everything, she can turn even the smallest disaster into a song.
Witty, restless and impossible to fake, LØLØ wears her heart on her sleeve and says what everyone else is trying not to say. She doesn’t need rescuing, but she might drag you into a chorus before you know what happened.

Douglas Chord
Character File BU-008
Douglas Chord writes pop-punk songs in his bedroom and dreams considerably bigger than his surroundings. Quiet, creative and a little awkward, he’s much better at putting his feelings into three chords than actually saying them out loud.
A longtime LØLØ fan, Douglas has already imagined the perfect collaboration about a thousand times. He isn’t chasing fame — he just wants to write something good enough that one day she might hear it and say yes.

Ruby Marigold
Character File BU-009
Ruby Marigold works at a record store, writes songs when nobody’s looking, and has very strong opinions about music, people and probably your record collection.
Warm, witty and a little sarcastic, Ruby has a soft spot for dreamers, misfits and anyone brave enough to say what they mean — even if it takes them a few tries.
She also happens to think Danny Rook getting completely tongue-tied around her is kind of charming.
Danny Rook
Character File BU-010
Danny Rook is an aspiring songwriter who usually knows exactly what he wants to say — getting the words out is another matter.
His stutter can mean repeated sounds, stretched-out words or complete blocks. Sometimes he swaps words or changes a sentence halfway through just to keep things moving. He hates people finishing his sentences or telling him to relax.
Songwriting is different. On paper, the words wait for him. When he sings, they usually come much easier.
Ruby Marigold simply listens and gives him the time he needs.
Which would be fine, if she didn’t also think his occasional “I-I-I… h-hey…” was kind of charming.
